Privacy Policy

Side Table does not collect any data.

Side Table is made by HB Films LLC. It is a personal scratchpad that runs entirely on your iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. Side Table has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. We operate no servers that receive your content.

Your content

Everything you put on your table — notes, photos, videos, files, links, voice notes, and scans — is stored only on your device, inside the app's private storage. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to us.

On-device processing

So that you can search your things, Side Table reads text from documents and recognizes the contents of photos using Apple's built-in on-device frameworks. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone, and the results stay on your iPhone.

Permissions

Side Table asks for permission only when you use a feature that needs it:

• Camera — to take a photo or scan a document onto your table.
• Microphone — to record a voice note.
• Photo library (adding only) — to save a photo from your table into your library. Importing photos uses Apple's system picker, which does not give the app access to your library.

Other apps

When you open a link you saved, or share something out of Side Table, that content is handed to whatever app or website you chose. Their privacy policies govern what happens next.

Children

Side Table collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
